500-year old tradition
Block printing is a 500-year-old tradition practiced in Jaipur and beyond. Artisans carve each hand-drawn motif into wood. Then, dip the blocks in rich dyes, and press them onto fabric, layer by layer. Some designs demand up to five separate block impressions, each stamped by hand with pinpoint accuracy.

PRINTED BY HEMLATA JI
The Lina blouse was hand block printed by our Artisan Hemlata Ji - she has been working in block printing since 5 years. She used 3 blocks, layer by layer to print the fabric for Lina blouse.
