BEHIND THE NAME
Our name is inspired by India’s 28 states—each home to its own textile crafts passed down through generations - be it
woven, dyed, or hand embroidered.
At 28 Tales, we work closely with artisans who have mastered their crafts over generations.
We want to bring you not just clothing, but a glimpse into India’s living craft legacy.
OUR FOUNDER
Simrat’s love for Indian textiles began early— traveling across states discovering crafts like block printing, handlooms etc.
After moving to Europe, she was surprised to find that India’s textile diversity was largely unknown.
That sparked the idea for 28 Tales—to spotlight skilled artisans and bring Indian craft to you through modern, wearable pieces.
